Suzie wrote a Mother's Day story about Taylor. For those who check the blog, it's probably old news, but here's the link if you want to check it out. My Son, the Survivor.
This picture has nothing to do with the story......it's just a favorite of mine. It was taken back in the day when Taylor would actually let you take his picture. Once he became a teenager, he became too cool to sit still for a minute.

6:35pm
A couple of Taylor's friends, Julian Barnhart and Ryan Rady, came down to visit him this afternoon. Taylor wheeled outside in his wheelchair to check out Julian's 4 wheeler.

The picture below answers the question we've heard a couple of times about the lake behind Taylor's building....."Do you think there are 'gators in there?"

Suz,
I read your story and it made me cry. This is my first mother's day as a mom and I just hope that 20 years down the road, I will be good of a mom as you are! Yes, you have a wonderful son who is strong and, thankfully, fighting his way back to you and Al. But he is as strong as he is in no small part because of you and Al. You have done a great job with both of your children. I'm so happy to see him doing well and glad to see that smile back on your face. I love you and I miss your face!
Love, Jenna
What a great article! You really know how to write, Suzie.
I'm so glad we can follow Taylor's journey on a daily basis. It's been a long trip.
Al, I love that picture, too.
Love,
Patrice

Susie,
I worked Friday night and was exhausted, my hubby came in early Sunday with the paper and said is that the Taylor you took care of? I kind of looked at him like he was crazy but then I saw Taylor's picture in the paper. It was a superb article and really shows what a long and hard road you, Al, Lauren and especially Taylor have come through. Things can only go up from here!!
God bless you guys and Frank as well!!
